In the figure above, what is the value of x + y?
(1) ANGLE DCA = 35
(2) ANGLE CAB = 70

Hi,

Statement 1 - Angle DCA = 35. It does not tell us what x or y is. Plus I do not know what CAD is to determine y. Insufficient

Statement 2 - Angle CAB = 70. It does not tell us what x or y is. If I had ACB, we could have determined x. Insufficient

Combined - - Angle DCA = 35 and Angle CAB still do not help us determine x and y. Insufficient.
