if the average mean of the five numbers x,7,2,16 and 11 is equal to the median of the five numbers, what is the value of x?

1. 7<x<11

Answer is D.

Stmt 1 says 7<x<11, it means x is the median. So we got:
2, 7, x, 11, 16
2+7+x+11+16=5x
x=9
Sufficient

Stmt 2 is exactly the same as stmt 1. Sufficient.
