How many degrees is angle x?

(1) y = 47Â°
(2) z = 110Â°

The OA is D.

Please, can any expert assist me with this DS question? I don't have it clear and I appreciate if any explain it for me. Thanks.

(1) y = 47Â°

Since y = 47Â°, the internal angle of the triangle, that is opposite of angle y is also 47Âº. Thus, we have 47 + x = 180 => xÂº = 180 - 47 = 137Âº. Sufficient.

(2) z = 110Â°

Since z = 110Â°, the internal angle of the triangle, that is adjacent to the angle z = 180Âº - 110Âº = 70Âº. Thus, we have 70 + 63 = xÂº => xÂº = 137Âº. Sufficient.

The correct answer: D
