From 450 to 620

Hello everyone, I started my GMAT journey 1,5 month ago. Yesterday I did a diagnostic test, and I scored a 430....which is extremely low (Q24, V25, IR7). I am kinda happy though, as I started from 300 something...;) I am aiming for a 620 score and I am sure I will!!! However...I only have two months to study. Currently I lost track and I need some advice on how I can plan my study for the coming two months in order to get that 620 score. Till so far I used the MGMAT and OG.

Hi

It's a good idea to brush up your basics first. If you have the complete set of MGMAT then its a good idea to go though all the books for MGMAT Quant and MGMAT SC first(I personally din't find CR and RC very good). Most people will recommend CR Power Score bible for CR.

When doing OG problems keep track of all the problems in improvement chart (also take notes for each problem -> what went wrong - why it went wrong, what went right and why it went right). I know it's very time consuming but you will see the results in 3-4 weeks.

Thanks for your reply. I already went through the MGMAT Quant...will it really add value if I go trough them again? Or would I learn more from only practicing questions? Currently I am thinking of buying some additional books/online-courses...

If you have already done so and understood all the basic concepts then no need to go over it again.

Books / online classes: It now depends if you are a book person or an online course person. I did not take any book after the MGMAT set coz i learn from videos better. The video courses I took are

https://www.gmatprepnow.com (helped me with a lot of concepts + shortcuts)
https://www.veritasprep.com/ (great skill builder videos, lessons and practice exams).

I am sure the members here must have taken other courses too so would be able to comment on other courses.

Practicing questions only will not help you. You can practice 1000 questions and then give CAT you will more or less be on the same score (been there, done that) unless you review all the questions . Take notes for each problem -> what went wrong - why it went wrong, what went right and why it went right.

Hi Brent, thanks for your reply. I already signed up for the 60-Day Study Guide and I finished the quant part...however my score for quant is still extremely low. Should I do it again as I still have two months?
