I gave my TOEFL exam in an engineering college in Pune, INDIA. It's name was MIT and I must say that such substandard centers should be banned form conducting TOEFL exam.
1. No Air conditioning was working
2. The Exam center staff was extremely noisy. The invigilators were even chatting in the middle of the examination hall.
3. The computers given were of really low quality.
4. The headset given were really awkward and the receiver was of low quality because it took long time to adjust the mike at the beginning of the exam.
5. The exam was held in an engineering college computer lab.
If such substandard examinations wont be closed down soon, fewer and fewer people will start opting for TOEFL. ETS also charges hefty amounts for appearing the exam. I would suggest ETS to reduce the fees if such centers exists.
