D is incorrect because of multiple reasons.

1) a noun should follow information of
2) split infinitive : to technically advance is wrong . it should be to advance technically. you should not separate to from the verb
3) technical advances in the original sentence mean developments in general. D changes the meaning by talking about ways to advance technically.

Thanks harshavardhanc
I think 1st point is of priority to choose the OA
For 2nd to technically (infinitive, adverbial qualifier) should be correct, D is to be ruled out because of point 1.
For 3rd point I think changing the meaning should impact on the sentence as a whole;not for different options. Its the correct OA which will decide what the sentence wants to convey, in atleast this case.

it's the other way round. the original/question sentence's meaning determines what the OA should convey. Sometimes it's an easier way to eliminate some of the choices, rather then finding out a grammatical flaw in them.

option A....Parallel structure....information is the object of the verb, secure ...as international and turnover are the objects of the verb, be and achieve respectively..
