E

let x = 4 y = 4 z = 5 and x = 1 y =2 z = 2

x^2 + y^2 = 32 > 25

But x^4 + y^4 = 256 + 256 < 625

1 + 4 > 5 and 1 + 16 > 16

So not sufficient

x+ y > z 8> 4

Apply same set of values.

Not sufficient

Both together x= 3 y = 3 and z = 4 and x = 1 y = 2 z =2

Answer is E.

Thanks
Raama

Thanks, but is there a trick to determine which values we can plug in to get the answer very quickly?

I could not come to any better solution than substitution. Definitely time consuming.

If any one can think of any better solution please post

Thanks
