What your are asking for is a pretty large jump in both categories, and if your scores are where they are you are lacking some of the fundamental knowledge. First piece of advice is table the practice exams and get the basics down first.

@ Jim - Your assessment is correct my fundamental knowledge is low but i am positive i can make this jump. My study plan is flawed and i am working to fixing this problem. I graduated with a high GPA and my degree was finance i can do this!! GMAT is a different beast, but not invincible.
@ Rich - "GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made," I like this quote. Thank you for your suggestion. Yes, i agree with both you and @ Jim. I'll stay off the CAT's for now and focus on building up the base knowledge. My only comment with this is how do i tell if i am making improvements if i don't do tests? I do the test to gauge my understanding of what i have read. My official in on October 1st. My target schools are in Canada and my self imposed deadline for early admission is before Christmas eve 2013.
