Should I apply to a top school or not

I'm a black engineer with a graduate degree. I recently scored a 680 on the GMAT. I plan on taking it again so I can break 700. The problem is that I will be 38 when and if I start B-school. What do you think? Should I aim high or aim low?

Sometimes being older can be a differentiator and can certainly eliminate questions of maturity (for the most part unless you squandered your youth or something). Also being black is generally an advantage in the MBA admissions process because statistically, fewer african americans apply. GMAT is great, so I would say yes, you should apply to top schools.
