Hi,

Scenario:
I took some prep tests (4 to 5) to my surprise I got a consistent 570 or 580.
I took Kaplan's way of rating my score with 1mark for correct and -0.25 for wrong.
I got around (30/37) in math and (15/41 :( ) in verbal.

Hi Arora,
I saw your score as 670... what is M/V in your score .. Did you get 75%+ in both sections??


Requirement:
1) How many verbal questions should I hit for 720+ and 80%+ ??
2) It is the CR that is hurting me most (2/13)?
I learned a new baisc rule in some posts "avoid extreme words ... so so"
How to improve my CR??? Esp assumption and weakening

Hi HSPA,

My own opinion is that scoring on practice tests made by private companies are inherently inaccurate. If you want a good idea of how you might score on the actual GMAT, the official Prep CATs can tell you that. Full length practice tests are a GREAT way to improve your stamina and work on pacing, but only after you have mastered the content areas and have adopted strong strategies for each question type.

It sounds like you should take a step back from full practice tests for awhile, and work to build your skills. For RC specifically, you'll need a solid strategy that allows you to break down the passages so you can understand the rhetoric.

Hi Vivian,

Out of the 4 links the last link is exceptional and very helpful.

Question:
As test is CAT driven... marking seems a distant option.... so do you recommand to capture those 'underlined things' using notepad on PC.
Do we have a notepad on GMAT test PC :)
Now a days typing on PC seems faster than pen to paper...
