At least 100 students at a certain school study Japanese, If 4 percent of the students at the school who study French also study Japanese, do more students at the school study French than Japanese?

1. 16 students at the school study both French and Japanese.
2. 10 percent of the students at the school who study Japanese also study French.

Hi,
Let m and n be the number of students studying Japanese(J) and French(F) respectively.
Given that m>=100.
J&F has n(4/100) students.
From(1): n(4/100)=16 => n=400 Cannot compare m and n
Insufficient
From(2):m(10/100) = n(4/100) => m=(2/5)n.
So, m<n
Sufficient

Hence, B

4%of F study both F & J => Both F & J studied by F/25
a)16=F/25 => F=400
Now J>=100 so it can be 300 also and 500 also. insufficient
b)10% of J = 4% of F => F=2.5J
or F>J
Sufficient
