(1) The x-intercept of line l is 2.

(2) The y-intercept of line l is 2.

To get the slope of a line, we must know the coordinates of two points in the XY-plane. One of the point is (1, 1). If we get the coordinate of the other point, we get the unique value of the slope.

Let's take each statement one by one.

(1) The x-intercept of line l is 2.

=> Line l passes through a point (2, 0); thus, we got the coordinate of another point. Sufficient.

(2) The y-intercept of line l is 2.

=> Line l passes through a point (0, 2); thus, we got the coordinate of another point. Sufficient.

The correct answer: D

Hope this helps!
