There are 2 variables (x and y) in the original condition. In order to match the number of variables and the number of equations, we need to have 2 equations. There is high chance C is the correct answer. Using the condition 1) and the condition 2) at the same time, we get the answer no when x=0.8, y=0.1, and the answer that is yes when x=0.9 y=0.2. The conditions are not sufficient.
- Forget conventional ways of solving math questions. In DS, Variable approach is the easiest and quickest way to find the answer without actually solving the problem. Remember equal number of variables and independent equations ensures a solution.
