what is the difference between A and D?

by NSNguyen » Fri Jun 20, 2008 11:13 pm
Obviously, we cannot in any real sense mistreat plants. Plants do not have nervous systems, and having a nervous system is necessary to experience pain.
The conclusion above follows logically if which one of the following is assumed?
(A) Any organism that can experience pain can be mistreated.
(B) Only organisms that have nervous systems can experience pain.
(C) Any organism that has a nervous system can experience pain.
(D) Only organisms that can experience pain can be mistreated.
(E) Any organism that has a nervous system can be mistreated.
the OA is D, but A seems the same.
can anyone help to differentiate? :?
Please share your idea and your reasoning :D

D tell us a condition that for any organism to be mistreated, ability to experiance pain is a must ..... and thats why plant can not be mistreated...

A is generalising this logic to all organism, having ability to experiance pain, which may not be true, there could be some organism, which can not be mistreated .. becuase of any other reason ..... For example .... a Tiger also has an ability to experiance pain .. but you dare not mistreat him, becusae he also has claws.....

Answer B seems to be logical one out of other answer choices
