If A andB each represent single digits in the decimal above, what digit does A represent?

(1) When the decimal is rounded to the nearest tenth, 3.2 is the result.
(2) When the decimal is rounded to the nearest hundredth, 3.24 is the result.

(1) When the decimal is rounded to the nearest tenth, 3.2 is the result.

We can get 3.2 when we have 3.2[0-4]B6. Which means A =0,1,2,3,4

Insufficient

(2) When the decimal is rounded to the nearest hundredth, 3.24 is the result.

3.24 is the desired value and it can be possible when we round up

3.23[5-9] or 3.24[0-4] Which means A=3/4 Insufficient

Taking both of them together A=3/4

I have been there. We need to get into the groove and think like the test makers. After a while it becomes easier. My DS still sucks. But not as much as it was when I started out

totally agree with you on that one! i sucked at math when i started this journey but have got slightly better now.
