NYU Stern Part-time MBA possible??

by shar260 » Tue Sep 01, 2009 7:42 pm
Hello! I am thinking about applying to the part-time MBA program for spring 2010. I am a minority woman with a GMAT score of 610. I am currently a sourcing manager at a financial services company in NYC and has two years of supply chain consulting background with one of the biggest consulting firms. My undergrad GPA was a 3.52 from Penn State.

Do you think I have a chance of beging accepted or should I try to get a higher score before I submit my application?

Thanks.

Dear shar260,

I think it is possible you could be admitted with a 610, but it would depend on what your raw quant score is and how you did in your quantitative coursework in college. A higher score will certainly strengthen your application, but I don't have enough information to know if that is a definite avenue for you to take. You might consider speaking with an admissions professional at Stern regarding the GMAT distribution for the part-time program in relation to your profile. You would probably get an idea of whether or not a retake is necessary from that conversation.

Best of luck,
Lisa
