who makes more money phD financ or PhD systems engineering?
Hi
I think the questions you should be asking is what interests you more? A 5yr committment is a long time and requires your full decication. So more than money choose the subject you are more keen to study and teach.
PS: i went thro the same dilema and am applying for a PhD in finance myself, but with 9yrs workexp in finance, knew instinctively this is my first choice.
Besides, no field is isolated, Im sure you can use inputs from finance into eng and vice versa!
