GMAT CAT Analysis Help

by ashishmangal » Thu Dec 15, 2011 11:53 am
Hi,

I have given 4 Manhattan CAT and my score is pretty volatile.

Manhattan CAT 1
Q-40
V-38
650

Manhattan CAT 2
Q-49
V-39
720

Manhattan CAT 3
Q-45
V-35
660

Manhattan CAT 4
Q-43
V-38
670

I gave GMAT last year and scored 640. I have been preparing since past one month.

I also gave GMATprep
Scored 710

Knetwon Free CAT
Scored 720

Veritas Free CAT
Scored 710

I am targeting a score of 730+. Please, advise. My GMAT is in next 10 days. I need some advice should I postpone or keep going with present preparation.

Thanks,
Ashish

I would strongly suggest go for it(I took mine 3 days ago).

I used to have worry about this test, once I took it and scored 690 it squashed all my worries about it. It is all about pacing in each of the sections.

1. AWA - Make sure you have good examples and write at least 600 words in each of the two. It is the mantra for me and I got a 6.0

2. Quant - I was pacing slower than needed at the beginning to make sure I have lots of corrects, but it is individual style.

3. Verbal - SC is not difficult at all and same for CR. Spare decent time for RC and read thru as if you are critiquing or proof reading for your own magazine and you are the chief editor.

Go with good rest and have snacks handy for the break.

All the best.
