What is the hundreds digit of the integer s?

What is the hundreds digit of the integer s?

(1) 100s = 723,200
(2) s rounded to nearest hundred is 7,200

The OA is A.

I know statement (1) alone is sufficient, but I can not see why statement (2) is not sufficient. Experts, could you give an example that helps me here?

Statement (2) is not sufficient because if s = 7199, then the hundreds digit = 1; however, if s = 7232, then the hundreds digit = 2. No unique answer. Insufficient.

The correct answer: A

1)z>2567..so there a re infinite values.Not Suff
2)rounder off to 2600
so z can range from 2550 to 2649(this is the main crux).Not suff

1+2 same case as 2 leaving some numbers i.e 2568 to 2649
