We do not get a definite answer as there are 2 values of x; NOT sufficient.

The correct answer is E.

Answer is E
1. two unknown variables x and y. hence insufficient
2. two unknown variables x and y. hence insufficient

Combine 1 & 2
(y/6)+y=5. solving we get 2 values. hence insufficient
