by ramkrish26 » Tue Aug 25, 2009 9:09 am
Hi,

Please evaluate my profile and share your straightforward opinion.

GMAT Score: 680 (Q48/V34/AWA5.5)
CGPA: 8.34/10. Guess it is approx. 3.0/4.0 when converted
Nationality: Indian
Work: IT Project Management Consultant, Working in UK for a US Based IT services company for the past 5 years.
Total Work experience: 7 Years (8 years when joining in 2010)

Target B-Schools:
ISB, India
SAID Business School, Oxford, UK
Judge Business School, Cambridge, UK
Cranfield Business School, UK

Also, are there any other UK & Europe based schools that would fit with my profile?
Do i need to re-take my GMAT and if yes, what score increase should i need to look at to get into top 5 UK & Europe B-Schools.

Thanks in advance for your valuable time spent in evaluating my profile.

Regards,
Ram

Hello,

It looks to me like some schools on the list would be fairly difficult reaches, e.g., Said, ISB. The other schools would be on-pars to reasonable reaches, and with a stellar application you would have a reasonable chance. Although your GMAT is not exactly low for the first two schools, you're in a demographic and industry group that tends to have higher numbers. I believe a GMAT in the low 700s would increase your competitiveness at such schools.

I can't comment on additional programs without knowing your goals, a critical factor in such an evaluation. Good luck with your MBA plans!

Best regards,
