It was not unusual for priests during the Middle Ages to sire a family although they were forbidden by society law to marry."
Does the 'a family' go well with 'priests'. Somehow feel like this is giving an impression that 'all priests' sire one family?
Isnt this preferred
a priest to sire a family over priests to sire a family?
