In a survey of students, each student selected from a list of 12 songs the 2 songs that the student liked best. If each song was selected 4 times, how many students were surveyed?
A) 96
B) 48
C) 32
D) 24
E) 18.
I had solved this question manually, as there are 12 songs and each song was selected 4 times. So the total number of songs are 48. And its said that a student likes 2 songs, So if you perform 48/2 you get 24, the number of students. Answer D. Is there any other way to solve this question??
