Kaplan Test breakdown

by csleee » Tue Jul 08, 2008 1:45 pm
I just took the free kaplan test online that comes with the 800 practice book and heres the breakdown of my scores:

Scaled Score
Overall : 590
Overall Percentage Below : 67
Quantitative : 38
Quantitative Percentage Below : 77
Verbal : 34
Verbal Percentage Below : 77

DS: 43%
PS: 78%
CR: 73%
RC: 71%
SC: 50%

Now obviously I need to work extensively on the DS and SC. I am just wondering what my approximate score would be if I had done better ( (70-75%) on those two sections. I am shooting for ~700 for the actual GMAT which I am taking 7/31. Thanks.

It is almost impossible to find that out. The practice tests and more importantly the actual test does not decide the score based on what percenatge of questions you got right. The score depends on the difficulty level of questions which you are able answer well consistently.

I am not sure where you are in the prep. I would suggest you take a GMAT prep test to see where you stand. This test indicates the actual scores better than other tests. In general Kaplan scores are lower than the actual test scores.
Wish you good luck
