So, when to actually take the GMAT using this guide?

Hi, I have another quick question that I couldn't find by searching... So here it goes.

When should someone take the GMAT if he is using the 60-day study guide? Exactly after 60 days?... After 61 days?... After 70? I don't know. Some advice would be helpful, especially from people who beat the GMAT using this guide.

The answer partly depends on:
1) How much time you have to prepare
2) How much external motivation you need

Regarding 1): There's a lot to cover to prepare for the GMAT, and the Study Guide is very comprehensive. So, if you can't devote 3 hours/day, you may need more than 60 days to complete all of the activities.

Regarding 2): Some people need a ticking clock to get anything done. For these people, it's not a bad idea to register to take the test 3-4 months from now. You can always reschedule later (for a $50 fee) if you find that you're not achieving your target score on practice tests.
