If A$B=A+B if A>B,and if A$B=B-A if A<B,then which of the followings is the highest for [(1/x)$(1/y)]$[(1/y$(1/x)]?

a)x= 1/2 & y=1/3
b)x=1/3 & y=1/4
c)x=1/4 & y=1/5
d)x=1/5 & y=1/4
e)x=1/4 & y=1/2

I just substituted the values given for each option. While calculating [(1/y$(1/x)] part,I calculated y$(1/x) and took a reciprocal and proceeded.
