Car A traveled 200 miles and averaged 40 miles per hour. Car B traveled at an average rate of 50 miles per hour. How many miles did Car B travel, if it traveled for the same amount of time as Car A?
(A) 150
(B) 200
(C) 250
(D) 300
(E) 350

Time for which car A traveled = (Distance)/(Average Speed) = (200/40) hours.

Therefore, distance traveled by car B = (Average Speed)*(Time) = (50)*(200/40) miles = 250 miles

The correct answer is C.
