Can somebody please help me with this question.

Representation in a local community board is based on the community’s population, with 25 board members representing the first 500,000 people, and each additional board member representing an additional 30,000 people. Is the population of the town less than 500,000?

(1) There were 23 members on the community board.
(2) If the population were three times as large, the community board would have had 51 members.

Thanks

Stmt I

23 members so less than 500,000. If there were 500,000 or more then there would have been 25 board members

SUFF

Stmt II

51 board members

500000 for first 25
The remaining 26 of the 51 will wach have 30,000 members

So we can find 500000+26*30000 to get to three times the town's population and then with this the town's actual population

SUFF

No need to solve since we would be wasting the time in a DS. Once we know its SUFFICIENT we can move on.
