If a is an integer, is b an integer?

(1) The average (arithmetic mean) of a and b is an integer.

(2) The average (arithmetic mean) of a, b, and b + 4 is a.

The OA is D.

I don't understand how should I solve this DS question. I don't have it clear. Experts, can you help me?
