I would suggest you ditch the SC1000. If you search through this forum, you can come across several errors in that question bank. Given how hard SC is .. it would be prudent not to get misled by wrong answers.

That being said, D is wrong in all possible ways.

"Could be it's rivals in their" - rivals is plural and it has to be singular.
What does 'in their' refer to here ? So both logically and gramatically this option is flawed.
