Thanks for your post. To answer your questions:eubschoolasp wrote:Hi
I'm a little confused over this LOR thing. I believe this is an important part of the overall package and hence am a bit concerned. Firstly, is it true that different schools have their own 'form/format' for an LOR? I've heard some schools would like you to get their form for an LOR filled in by the concerned person? Is this true or a simple Letter pointing out the reasons why the person is recommending you will do?
Secondly, does this letter need to be on some official letterhead (say the letterhead of the company i'm working for)?
Thirdly, i didn't take any recommendations from my professors at University after graduation and it's been about 2 years now. Should i take a recommendation from them in today's date or a back-date, in case they are willing to give it?
Lastly, does an LOR from your Univ. matter more or one from your employers/supervisors during your work experience?
Forgive me if i asked some naive questions and i would certainly appreciate help on this.
