If a and b are integers, and |a| > |b|, Is a . |b| < a-b?

(1) a < 0

(2) ab 0



[spoiler]Ans E: Statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are NOT sufficient.
Please explain as I have not understood the reasoning[/spoiler][/spoiler]
