Alternate way to solve

by vineetbatra » Wed Oct 07, 2009 7:43 am
Is x% of x% of y equal to x% less than y ?

(1) x(x + 100) = 10,000
(2) y(y + 1) = 1

Is there a way to solve this problem by picking numbers. I know how it can be solved algebrically.
