is the 22nd term of an arithmetic sequence odd?

1) the 24th term is even
2) the 1st term is odd

Please note that the GMAT test-makers don't assume that students know what an arithmetic progression is.
In the past, when they've used the term "arithmetic sequence", they have also defined the term.
