This question uses the properties of right triangles that are in the ratio of 1:sqrt(3):2

Since AC = sqrt(100-25) = 5*sqrt(3). This tells us angle x = 30. Therefore Angle D is 60. Using the above ratio, if EC is 10, then DC = 10/sqrt(3)
