Can someone explain how to arrive at the answer? The figure shown on the test is four-sided and shaped like a diamond. The following is the value given for each of the four sides:

1. x (<--Short side)
2. x (<--Short side)
3. x+60 (<--Long side)
4. 3x (<--Long side)

19. The figure above shows the number of meters in the lengths of the four sides of a jogging path. What is the total distance around the path?

(1) One of the sides of the path is 120 meters long.
(2) One of the sides of the path is twice as long as each of the two shortest sides.

THE ANS IS B- but how do you know which of the two longer sides- x+60 or 3x is the choice 2 referring to?It could be x+60 or 3x in OG they only consider x+60.

3x is obviously 3 times x or 3 times the shortest side.
So it cannot be taken as twice the shortest sides.
Or we take x+60 = 2x.
Or x = 60.
So the sides are 60, 60, 120 and 180.
Or the total distance around the path is 60 + 60 + 120 +180 = 420.
So (2) alone is sufficient.
Obviously (1) alone is not sufficient because any of the sides can be 120 metres.
