Hi experts,

Could you all please provide me some hints to improve my score from 47 to 50 in real GMAT as I always score like 49-50 in all practice tests. I feel the timing issue in my real GMAT and I had to guess some long DS questions.

Guys,Please provide me some tips to improve my maths timing.

Cheers,
Prac

As you mentioned, you're having trouble with long DS questions. I think the key to timing on the GMAT is to take educated guesses and move on and not get stuck on a single question for too long(say for more than 2 minutes). Practising more can help you increase your speed to an extent, but if it these 1-2 questions which are taking up all your time, just guess!
My GMAT score: 740 [Q:48, V:42]

zorya there is a difference between "just guess" and "take an educated guess" - the accuracy for the latter is higher.

in fact every delay in GMAT rests on weakness in three areas: 1) concept theory, 2) concept application, 3) concept practice

depending on where is the weakness, varying levels of effort are sought. I myself had to come through all the stages recently.

p.s. the separations above have their order, i.e. if weakness is at 1), then 2) and 3) must follow up.

Totally agree with you on this one, Night reader. Also, just guessing takes a lot lesser time than taking an educated guess. Perhaps taking an educated guess would be the right way to go if you've spent some time on a question, have narrowed the solution down to 2-3 right choices and are then stuck. And just guessing would probably work when you have 4 questions to go and a minute to complete them in :)
