85. What is the sum of the roots of the quadratic equation px^2+qx+r=0?
(1) The product of the roots is the same as the sum of the roots.
(2) Sum of roots of the quadratic equation rx^2+px-q=0 is 2.

Please explain, I do not follow the explanaion below.

Explanation
Statement (1)
The product of the roots is the same as the sum of the roots.
-q/p = r/p
q = -r. We need -q/p; NOT SUFFICIENT. Statement (2)
Sum of roots of the quadratic equation rx2+px-q=0 is 2.
-p/r = 2. And we need -q/p; NOT SUFFICIENT. By combining both statements
-p/r = 2.
From Statement (1), q = -r Therefore p/q = 2
And -q/p = -1/2; SUFFICIENT
The correct answer is C;
