Hi,

You have a decent profile with good awards/achievements and team headship experience. These aptitudes/skills will surely have positive impact on b-school(s) adcoms. You just need to skillfully frame application essays and exhibit the above mentioned qualities during final interviews. With the given information you may target schools like: McCombs, Kenan-Flagler, USC-Marshall, Emory, Indiana-Kelley, McDonough, ISB, NUS, Nanyang, CEIBS-Shanghai, Ohio-Fisher, Vaderbilt-Owen, Wisconsin-Madison and Boston-Carroll. The avg. GMAT range of these schools is between 600-730, so I believe you will stand a chance in tem. You may also try your chances in b-school(s) by clicking https://goo.gl/lhc05

Piku,

I would strongly suggest you to retake your GMAT exam to be more in line with your having graduated from an NIT.

Also your short and long term goals are not necessarily in alignment. How do you plan to transition from your short term goal of being a leader and decision maker in a reputed manufacturing or energy industries to your long term goal of opening an educational institution in sub-urban India with sports and financial education as compulsory courses? If the answer is unclear, you might instead choose a long term goal in line with your short term goal and pursue your long term goal as a CSR initiative or separate NGO.

With a 710+ GMAT you are competitive for schools in the 10-15 range like Cornell, Tepper, etc.
With your present score you can still reach into a Tepper but would be looking at UNC Kenan-Flagler, Emory, Texas McCombs, Kelley and some schools that excel in manufacturing like Krannert, Smeal, etc.

Best of luck,
