Among X, Y and Z -- B, E out
A -- run-on sentence
C -- starts correctly with contrast but adds 'no slope w/o music' in slopes to choose from
D brings out the correct contrast .. Although people can choose among X, Y and Z, there are no slopes without music.

IMO: D

A has two independent clauses separated by just a comma, so no on A.

That said, I have no idea what the answer is. They all sound incorrect.
