I'll go with B...though my reasoning might be false.

I think B is wrong for wordy because it isn't necessary to have the second helping verb. I have to get it clear into my head on how these comparisons should work...

B is ungrammatical because of presence of do.

do breaks the parallelism because the verb in the previous part of the sentence is are

A is best.
