You'll need a solid grounding in grammar rules before you try to dive into real SC questions.
(My opinion is biased, of course, because I work for Manhattan Prep, but I do think our Strategy Guides are very good). Mprep has designed a book called
Foundations of Verbal just for people like you, who have trouble identifying (or perhaps never learned) the basic parts of sentences. You can purchase a physical copy of the book, or you can download the e-book version here:
