Last year Roger, Shelly, and Terry each contributed money to a certain charity. If Terry contributed $50 more than Roger and Shelly combined, how much did Shelly contribute?

(1) The total amount contributed to the charity by these three people last year was $350
(2) Roger and Shelly contributed equal amounts to the charity last year.

The OA is C.

Let R+S = x be their contribution combined
Given T = 50 + x

Stat 1: T+R+S = x+50+x = 350 => x =150.
R+S = 150 but we can' exactly say the S value. Insufficient.

Stat 2: R = S..
Then 2S = x from question stem. We don't know the x value.

Both : x +50 +x = 350 => x = 150.
2S = 150 => S = 75.

Option C is the correct answer.

Has anyone another strategic approach to solve this PS question? Regards!
