If x = 0.rstu, where r, s, t, and u each represent a nonzero digit of x, what is the value of x?

1) r = 3s = 2t = 6u

2) The product of r and u is equal to the product of s and t

Statement(2) alone is clearly not sufficient since all digits could equal 1, or they could all equal 2..., so (2) is not sufficient. On the other hand, only one set of values is possible under statement (1) so it must be sufficient.

To find: x

Statement 1:
r = 3s = 2t = 6u
If u = 1, then t = 3, s = 2, r = 6
If u = 2, then t = 6, s = 4, r = 12 NOT POSSIBLE
SUFFICIENT

Statement 2:
r * u = s * t
this is possible when all are "1"
Or,
r=2, u=1, s=1, t=2
INSUFFICIENT
