The dorsal attention network shows activity increases after a presentation of cues indicating what subjects should direct their attention to.

Option A - Incorrect
The argument states it to be a complex network and not a primary orienting system in the human brain.

Option B - Incorrect
Here, the argument is only concerned about the dorsal attention; any other network aside thus, is outside the scope of the argument.

Option C - Incorrect
If true, then is no indication or evidence to back this up in the argument.

Option D - Correct
If the dorsal attention network activity increases "after" a presentation of cues indicating what subjects they should direct their attention to, it means that it is lower when it "precedes" the presentation of cues to where to focus that human's attention.

Option E - Incorrect
We are only concerned about one of the sensory orienting systems, which is the dorsal attention network and not the equal roles they play in the human brain.
