Firstly, It's important to differentiate between correspondence and correspond here. Where the former depicts a noun, the latter is a verb. Corresponds which is to be equivalent or similar to character, quantity, quality, origin, structure, function, etc.

Option A - Incorrect
Wrong use of word. The verb 'correspond' should be use in place of the noun 'correspondence' to depict the actual meaning of the sentence.

Option B - Incorrect
This option suffers the same fate as option A above. The verb form is preferred to the noun form.

Option C - Incorrect
The use of 'corresponding' which is the present participle of correspond renders this option invalid in the area of tenses.
The event had happened in the past, and a present participle verb will not be recommended

Option D - Correct
This option uses the right verb 'corresponds' in the best way, and thus it's the correct answer.

Option E - Incorrect
'corresponding with' and 'correspond to':- As stated above, the phrasal verb has its rule, and this choice of answer violates it. It cannot be "corresponding to" but rather "correspond with".
