go with C, other than "have become able to..." is a little awkward, there's no major grammar mistake.

A the ability... have... wrong
B the ability of scients has become more accurate... meaning is wrong (not the ability that's more accurate)
C Scientists able to provide more accurate models... such changing conditions as... nothing wrong
D in their ability FOR providing, wrong idiom
E ability... have... wrong

IMO - B

The ability .... has ... also correct usage of such as vs like.

I think C changes the meaning.

OA?

In C "Scientists have become able to" sounds awkward to me. That is why I am going with B. B is in line with the original sentence in saying that the ability has got accurate. So I don't think that it is changing the meaning. Please let me know if I am missing out something.

Choice A - This sentence does not communicate logical meaning. It talks about ability of scientists to provide certain models - the models of atmosphere's complex responses to changing conditions. It states that the ability of scientists to provide models has become more accurate. This is where the sentence does not make logical sense. It does not make sense to say that ability has become more accurate. It would however make sense to say that models have become more accurate.

Choices B and E also have same error.

Choice D uses incorrect idiom "like" to introduce examples.

Choice C is the correct answer. It communicates a logical meaning. It has no grammatical errors. Yes it does appear to be little bit wordier but grammatically and logically this is the most appropriate choice.

Also, Answer choice A and B use ability in the wrong form. Ability followed by infinitive.

Ability to= Correct
Ability for= Incorrect
Dedication is what leads to success...
