In a retail store, the average (arithmetic mean) sale for month \(M\) was \(d\) dollars. Was the average (arithmetic mean) sale for month \(J\) at least \(20\) percent higher than that for month \(M?\)

(1) For month \(M,\) total revenue from sales was \(\$3,500.\)
(2) For month \(J,\) total revenue from sales was \(\$6,000.\)

1) cleary INSUFF as we do not know anything about month J
2) Cleary INSUFF as we do not know anything about month M

Although it seems together we can answer the question, we must remember that a month can be of 30 or 31 days. Since we do NOT know how many days either M or J has we cannot calculate the average correctly , and hence we cannot answer this question.
