Total number of tourists = (number of buses)(number of people PER BUS)
So, we can write: x = (number of buses)(y)
Divide both sides by y to get: x/y = number of buses

Answer: B

Hi All,

We're told that a total of X tourists were transported by bus to a certain museum and there there were Y tourists on each bus. We're asked for the total number of buses used. This question can solved rather easily by TESTing VALUES.

IF.... X=10 and Y = 5, then the 10 tourists were in two groups of 5. Thus, we're looking for an answer that equals 2 when X=10 and Y=5. There's only one answer that matches...

Final Answer: B
