Hi,

I thought to share my profile with you and i would like to know if it is possible to get in to a top bschool with such profile.
10th class -- 84%
12th class-- 89% (topper of school)

B.E (Comp Sci) from a Govt college in India (Not so famous)
Was sports secretary of college and conducted various sports activities
Lawn tennis player at university level.
Good participation in various extra curricular activities.

IT experience of around 5 years.has worked in companies like G.E,Saplabs,Ebay,Sapient.
To be honest, can not recollect any moment which could prove leadership quality.
Have not taken Gmat yet.Planning to take the test in 40-45 days.

Here are my questions:
schools targeted:
Top 15.

1) How much gmat score is good enough for my profile.
2) Since most of the schools look for leadership experience, do you think i have any chance here?
3) Is it wise to invest in MBA? ---This question troubles me the most.

Thank you for your post.

1) Everyone needs the highest GMAT they can earn. Just go in and do the best you can. Then deal with the results.
2) It depends on which schools you are applying to. The most competitive business schools will want to see leadership AND good stats AND competitive work experience. Lower ranked programs may overlook lack of leadership if your other qualifications are better than average. It's a package. For more information, please see Best MBA Programs: A Guide to Selecting the Right One.
3) That is a much bigger question than I can answer here. It's probably too big a question for an anonymous forum. It depends on your MBA goals and anticipated income compared to costs.

Best,
Linda
